BackgroundAn attorney for over 20 years, Professor Gillespie has extensive business experience. For 17 years, she was in-house litigation counsel for U.S. West, handling disputes involving contracts, torts, real estate, employment discrimination, complex commercial bankruptcy, and class-action consumer lawsuits. In addition to Business Law, she teaches in the area of Negotiations, Policy and Ethics, and Leadership. She also teaches other law-related courses in the Political Science Department. Teresa is married to Gary Gillespie, Northwest's Debate Coach and Associate Professor in the Communication Department.
