Northwest University (NU) is pleased to announce that the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) has scheduled a regional accreditation site visit to NU, which will occur over three days in March 2013. The NWCCU last reaffirmed NU accreditation in 2011 after a Year One Evaluation (on what is typically a seven year cycle). NU received its initial regional accreditation from the NWCCU in 1973. This comprehensive visit was triggered by NU's creation of its first doctoral degree, the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree, and occurs one year after the completion of its first class of PsyD graduates.
The dates of the scheduled visit are Monday, March 25 through Wednesday March 27, 2013. The site team will be present on the NU campus for these three days. During this comprehensive site visit, the team will tour the NU campus, review documents and interview many individuals associated with NU – including students, alumni, faculty, staff, and trustees.
Public commentary is invited concerning the institution's qualifications for accreditation. Comments will be accepted only when they are submitted in writing and signed. Comments must be received by the Commission at the address below by February 25, 2013.
