

EUGENE, Ore. - Northwest Christian would score in the 6th minute of the game and would hold on to shut out the NU Eagles, 1-0, in CCC play tonight.
Nathan Ruter would take a low throw in from Lucas Cash to score the lone goal of the game at the 5:30 mark of the first half. The Eagles’ James Kerr would almost even the score with his shot at the 9:10 mark, but NCU goalkeeper Eric Carrazco would make the save on the shot to deny the score. Another Kerr shot in the 29th minute would just miss as the ball would hit the post. Josh Peter’s shot in the 44th minute would be saved by Carrazco once again.
In the second half, James Kerr would be denied by Carrazco again as his shot would be stopped at the 52:04 mark. Alex Taylor would have two shots in the 85th minute and at 89:36, but one would be blocked and the other would go wide as the clock would run out.
NCU would have the edge on shots, 17-11 and would have 12 corner kicks to the Eagles’ two. Northwest’s Joe Galbraith would face the 17 NCU shots and make 8 saves for the game.
NU returns home and will host Concordia on Weds., Oct. 24. It will be Senior Day for the Eagles.
