Eagle Men Fall to No. 16 Concordia in Semi

PORTLAND, Ore. - The NU men’s soccer team battled this afternoon, but fell to No. 16 ranked Concordia, 4-0, in the CCC semifinal game.

Concordia scored once in the first half on Radcliffe McDougald’s goal in the 6th minute as he scored off a rebound. CU would take a 1-0 lead at halftime.

Septi Danciu made it 2-0 at the 63:12 mark as he made good his penalty kick. McDougald scored his second goal at 73:57, unassisted after his shot glanced off the post and into the net. Danciu completed the scoring with his second goal of the game in the 79th minute with a 25 yard direct free kick.

Said NU Coach Gary McIntosh after the game, “Although the scoreboard does not reflect it, the guys played with a lot of effort and character today.  I’m proud of my seniors leading the way. This year we wanted to make playoffs and we accomplished that.”
