Eagles Perform Well In Oregon Preview Meet

EUGENE, Ore. - Two Eagles improved their outdoor season marks today at the Oregon Preview Meet on the campus of the University of Oregon. Jonathan Melton ran a season best 11.009 in the 100m dash today and Joanna Sowers improved her season best performance in the women’s 800m run with a time 0f 2:22.02. Melton came in 4th in his heat.

Luke Fischer threw the javelin 186-02, just shy of his season best set last weekend at Pacific Lutheran and Jonathan Ferguson placed 22nd in the men’s 1500m run with his time of 4:07. The Oregon Preview Meet is an invitation only meet featuring some of the top competition in the Pacific Northwest.

The Eagles will now prepare for the annual Club Northwest Spring Break Open coming up on March 30.
