KIRKLAND, Wash. - After playing their first 12 games on the road, the Eagles finally come home for the very first game in Kirkland in NU softball history. Opening Day is this Friday as NU hosts Corban University at Everest Park in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
Kristi Brodin, NU professor, former coach, athletic director and NU Hall of Famer will throw out the first pitch. Rob Cashell, the Cascade Conference commissioner will also be attending the game.
Everest Park is within walking distance or a short drive from NU. Just passed Houghton and the 7-11, make a right at 9th. Proceed up the hill to 8th, and turn left. Everest Park will be on your right. Plenty of parking and seating and Everest Park is one of the nicest fields in the area.
There’ll be a concession stand and we’ll be selling Eagle softball gear (hats, hoodies, t-shirts, headbands and ladies sweatpants) with the NU logo. Cash only sales this weekend.
Come out and support the team!!
