

LAGRANDE, Ore. - Northwest University’s Michael Greene of Bellingham, Wash., has been chosen the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 17-23 as announced by the league office. This marks the second time this season Greene has earned the award.
Greene, a 6-5 junior, had a double-double against Corban (28 points and 11 rebounds) last Tuesday, his 6th of the season, that was key in the victory, hitting clutch baskets and free throws down the stretch to help the Eagles earn the win. Also played a big role in the come from behind win over the College of Idaho on Friday night with his 7th double-double (20 points, 14 rebounds). Played against No. 2 ranked Eastern Oregon with the stomach flu Saturday night and scored 13 points. Currently 2nd in the CCC in scoring (21.8 ppg), tied for 3rd in rebounding (9.0 rpg), and 2nd in FG% (.684). Averaged 19.3 ppg and 8 rpg playing in 4 games in 6 days.
