

SALEM, Ore. - The NU Eagles cross country team took part in one of the largest cross country meets in the west this morning as they ran in the annual Charles Bowles Invitational hosted by Willamette University. Over 834 runners took part in the four college divisions under sunny skies.
Matt Porter was the top NU men’s runner as he came in 89th in the field of 253 runners in the Gold division crossing the finish line in 26:35. Jonathan Ferguson finished 127th, coming in at 27:15. Ben Schmalz in at 30:59, Ethan Flattery at 35:05 and Cameron Kartak at 36:21.
For the Eagle women, Meagan Governor took 36th in the Gold Division 5k run with her time of 19:14. Emily Sears was 46th with a time of 19:27; Joanna Sowers 53rd - 19:49; Vanessa Ahrendt - 19:52; Molly Evans - 20:17; Sigrid Thoreson - 20:20; Marrisa Flannery - 20:50; Kelsey Anderson - 20:53;
