

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Seven Northwest University fall athletes were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes today as announced by the national office.
Earning honors this year were: Emma Neustel , junior, (Women’s Soccer) of Salem, Ore., Lizzie (Elizabeth) Perkins, senior, (Women’s Soccer) of Seattle, Wash., James Kerr, senior, (Men’s Soccer) of Bothell, Wash., Tim Filion, junior, (Men’s Soccer) of Bothell, Wash., Lauryn Ernster, senior, (Volleyball) of Bothell, Wash., Heather Shulke, senior, (Volleyball) of Castle Rock, Wash., and Sarah Stoker, junior, (Volleyball) of Olympia, Wash.
The Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete programs recognize excellence in the classroom by NAIA-member student-athletes who are juniors or above in academic standing with a 3.5 cumulative GPA. The awards are given annually to outstanding student-athletes in the various sports in which the program is active and their respective teams are eligible for NAIA postseason competition.
