

NU’s middle blocker, Sarah Stoker of Olympia, Wash., has been named to the Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team College Division for her outstanding accomplishments both in the classroom and on the court, as announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Sarah was one of only three players from the CCC to be voted to the team which includes all NAIA Division I and II teams and junior colleges in the west.
Sarah is a 2-time Cascade Conference Scholar athlete (2011 & 2012) and led the Cascade Collegiate Conference in blocks in 2011 and 2012. She finished the year No. 1 in the CCC in blocks with 118 and blocks per game 1.2 b/pg. Stoker is also ranked 13th in NAIA Division I in blocks per game (1.2) and 45th in NAIA Division I in total blocks (118). She now has 350 career blocks in three years.
Stoker will now be eligible for national honors and a chance to be voted to the Capital One Academic All-America team later this month. She is an education major at Northwest U.
