Ashley is in her second year at Northwest U. after transferring from Bethany University in California. Coila also played volleyball in the 2010-11 season at Bethany and was a NAIA Champions of Character representative in that sport. She earned honorable mention honors in the CalPac Conference for volleyball in the 2009-10 season.

Last season, Coila played in 27 games for the Eagles averaging 2.8 points per game and 2.9 rebounds.
