Last week, senior nursing students from the Buntain School of Nursing were lead by Nursing faculty members in a partnership with Seattle’s iconic Union Gospel Mission. The students visited organizations within UGM’s network, and were able to provide basic care services for those in need.
The four sites students traveled to include: South Park Neighborhood Center, Ranier Health & Fitness, Son Shine Inn, and the Nickelsville Tent City. This opportunity allowed students to practice their nursing skills as well as to connect with members of the community. As the day progressed, students agreed this was a unique experience, which will leave a lasting impact on their lives.
