KIRKLAND, Wash. – It was a beautiful sunny day at Everest Park for the opening day of softball at Northwest U., but Corban University used 9 home runs in two games to sweep Northwest University 15-5 and 10-0 this afternoon in a Cascade Conference opener and Northwest’s first home game in their inaugural season. In spite of the losses, the Eagles were happy to be home after playing their first 12 games on the road. Kristi Brodin, former NU coach and athletic director threw out the first pitch and CCC commissioner, Rob Cashell also took part in the opening ceremonies.
