Northwest University is closed Thursday and Friday, November 25 and 26, so that students, faculty, and staff can celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with their friends and families.
The holiday actually began early this year, as snow, cold, and icy roads resulted in classes being cancelled and University offices being closed on Monday afternoon, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
The Caf remained opened through lunch on Wednesday. A special Thanksgiving lunch was served on Tuesday (above) with turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, corn, and – most important – pumpkin pie.
The Women’s Basketball Team is scheduled to host a non-conference game at 5:30 p.m. Friday, November 26, against Whitman College at the Northwest University Pavilion.
Classes will resume and University offices will open at regularly scheduled times on Monday, November 29.
In a message to the Northwest University family this week, Dr. Joseph Castleberry, President, reminded us all, “1Thessalonians 5:18 advises us to give thanks in all things, and that is a singular joy for the believer. God is with us, and that is all the sweeter when we are with family and friends.”
We wish you a Thanksgiving holiday filled with gratitude and joy.
