Northwest University (NU) is proud to announce that it has entered an agreement with the Dream Center Leadership School (DCLS) in Los Angeles to become the center’s academic partner. Pending approval from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, the Dream Center Leadership School will be part of Northwest University’s Church Partnership Program, a new initiative that brings NU’s 80 years of educational experience and top accreditation to church internship programs throughout the Northwest and West Coast.
The NU/DCLS partnership is the result of two institutions coming together to equip students to fulfill their callings for the glory of God. Students at the Dream Center will gain real-world urban ministry skills on the streets of L.A. while also experiencing the rigorous and engaging university-level instruction that NU offers. DCLS students can begin their pursuit of fully accredited two- or four-year degrees in a variety of ministry programs.
Students at DCLS are helping the Dream Center to impact one of the most influential cities in the world—Los Angeles—by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of their community every day. With the NU partnership, those same students can build a strong educational foundation for service that is knowledgeable and effective.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with this partnership,” said NU President Joe Castleberry. “Both NU and the Dream Center are committed to building men and women of character and competence who show Christ’s love through hands of compassion. We can’t wait for the immersive outreach and service opportunities it will provide for our students.”
