Course Description
ENGL 4953 Practicum in TESOL
(1-3 credits) Field service involving 2 to 3 hours a week minimum of teaching TESOL to a class of ESOL students or tutoring ESOL students. This is to be done under the supervision of the faculty who teach TESOL courses. In addition a one-hour weekly seminar on campus is required. The student integrates methods from prior or concurrent course work with the practicum. He or she prepares the lessons and materials for the teaching sessions under the direction of the faculty supervisor. Prerequisites: ENGL 4503 Introduction to TESOL and ENGL 4513 Methods and Materials for TESOL.
