Certificate in Audio Production

The certificate program in Audio Production entails a series of seven media technology courses with a focus on Audio Production. The curriculum is designed for the student of creative media aptitude, providing a learning environment utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and software for real world applications. Students experience live performance and studio recording opportunities, and are introduced to Lighting Design, Video Production, and Multi-media in order to prepare a complete skill-set of the latest in communication technologies.

Timeframe

The program is designed to be completed in less than one year, beginning in January and concluding mid-October. Classes are four to five weekends in duration. Students attend classes one at a time in a specific course sequence.

Cohort Structure

The Certificate in Audio Production is structured around the cohort, a group of students working together to encourage and learn from one another, in a weekend classroom environment that is interactive, hands on, and project driven.

Cost

The cost of the Certificate Program is $5,580 or 18 credits @ $306 per credit hour for the 2012 academic year. Books and other fees may apply. Due to the significant discounted rate of tuition, institutional financial aid is not available.

Personal Enrichment

All courses are also open to students on a "space available" basis for personal enrichment providing pre-requisite courses are met, or by permission of instructor.

Classes will be held Fridays: 7:00pm – 9:30pm / Saturdays: 9:00am – 11:30am and 12:30pm – 3:00pm.

*The final digit of each course number determines credit amount (For example, MUAR 2013 is a (3) credit course.
