Professional Certificate (ProCert) Mentoring Concentration

In addition to expanding expertise as a teacher-leader, the practitioner receives personalized coaching in the development of an electronic portfolio documenting qualifications for the Washington State Professional Teacher Certificate (ProCert). Courses focus on leading theories, practices and trends, performance assessments, program planning, and educational research.

Curriculum

Professional courses, electronic portfolio to document evidence of student learning, and educational research and writing.

Duration

Twenty to twenty-three months, starting in September

Credits

Thirty semester credits, including four credits for mentoring and portfolio development

Basic Admission Requirements

ProCert Mentoring – Support Only Option

ProCert Mentoring is also being offered as a stand-alone, support-only four credit option which will assist teachers in preparing for the state, outside evaluated, online ProTeach Portfolio. The program is available in the Fall (September) and Spring (January) semesters.
