  • B.A. Multnomah University, 2007

I came to Northwest University after many years of searching for God’s will for my life. I began the search when I enrolled at Multnomah University to study Biblical Studies and Speech Communication. I didn’t know what God was calling me to, but I knew that I loved God’s Word and I trusted that He would lead me to a place of greater clarity for my future.

Once my Bachelor’s degree was complete I returned to the Seattle area to work as an Administrative Assistant for a local architecture firm for several years. During my time there I gained valuable knowledge related to marketing, budget-management, and project management. However, what intrigued me most about that firm was their specialization in educational architecture. I came to discover that what I really value is education.

With my newfound sense of direction for my life, I immediately sought out Northwest University because of its unwavering commitment to Christian education. From my perspective, Northwest University offers students an ideal package: a Christ-centered education that prepares them well for their calling in ministry, industry, or family. This was a mission I could get behind!

Having served NU as an Admissions Counselor, and now as the Director of Traditional Admissions, I continue to count it a privilege to invest in our incoming students. Orientation is my favorite time of year. It’s the time when I get to meet every student face-to-face and give thanks to God for bringing them here. I trust that He will use each and every student’s time here to fundamentally change their lives and shape their callings.
