![]() We’re Moving in... a Day Early!August 14, 2007 In his final day as President of Northwest University, Dr. Don Argue (center), received the Certificate of Occupancy for the new Health and Sciences Center (HSC) from our General Contractor's Superintendent, Ray DeForrest. Dr. Argue accepted the certificate a day ahead of schedule in his last official act as President. He transitioned to the new role of Chancellor on August 15, when Dr. Joseph Castleberry became Northwest's sixth President. Also in the photograph are Dan Neary, Executive Vice President, Steve Sankey, Northwest's Director for Campus Planning and Construction, and George Osborne from Lorig Associates, the Project Manager. Final detail work and moving in will continue over several days, but the building will be ready for the first day of classes on August 27. A worker washed off the glass and the shades on the south facade of the Health and Sciences Center. Leon Lyman conducted testing of a fume hood in one of the HSC laboratories. There were dozens of chairs, but no place to sit as a workmen moved furniture from the staging area to classrooms and offices. |
