9:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.

    As Christians, how should
                                 we respond to Muslims?

Are they to be feared as terrorists
or loved as misguided souls
for whom Jesus gave his life?

How should the Christian be affected by the daily news
of suicide bombings and sleeper cells of terrorists infiltrating our cities? Are Christians being duped by the media so they forget their passion for sharing the gospel with Muslims?

The College of Ministry at Northwest University and the Northwest Ministry Network are co-sponsoring the Faces of Islam Symposium from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, in the Butterfield Chapel. This seminar will help us critically assess what is happening in the Muslim world today and how the Christian should respond. Those closely involved in Muslim ministry will be speaking, followed by a time to ask questions of the experts. Speakers include a specialist in Islamic Studies, a Lebanese Arab Christian, a Palestinian Arab Muslim who became a follower of Isa, and an American woman who understands what a Muslim woman must endure. All of the speakers are actively involved in ministry, most have published books and articles on their specialties and teach at universities and seminaries throughout the U.S.

The cost for the symposium is $50 for first person, $25 for each additional group member. This includes a box lunch.

The symposium can be taken for academic credit at Northwest University. For more information, contact David Oleson at 425.889.7821 or --
