Cafeteria Assistant - Student

Position Summary

Interface with Northwest University's food service provider Pioneer College Caterers, in the area of food preparation, food serving, cleaning, serving, catering, receiving money, and checking ID's.

Essential Functions

  1. Help stock food stations as needed
  2. Help prepare and serve food as needed
  3. Help in dish washing room
  4. Wash and disinfect dining tables
  5. Cashier as needed
  6. Check ID as needed
  7. Help with trash
  8. Help with stocking and inventory


  1. Be able to follow directions
  2. Be prompt to work
  3. Courteous
  4. Dependable
  5. Training will be provided by Pioneer College Caterers


Numerous openings for academic year 2015-2016. Maximum of 20 hours per week.  Hours vary upon availability with class schedule.  To cover 7 days per week, between the hours of 6:00am - 8:30pm. 


Student positions are intended to be for the academic year (there are some summer exceptions). Based upon performance evaluation, student’s status and student’s academic schedule, the supervisor will determine whether the student meets the criteria to fill the position the following semester or academic year.
