Financial Aid Guarantee

Upon admittance, this certificate guarantees governmental grants, loans and institutional scholarships up to the amounts listed below for students in the LEAP (Leadership Education for Adult Professionals) program who qualify during the 2011-2012 academic year at Northwest University. With approved academic progress and continuance of the governmental programs, the appropriate awards will be annually renewed up to a total of four consecutive academic years for eligible students who apply.

For full-time students with 0-29 credits: $13,530* per year
For full-time students with 30-59 credits: $12,530* per year
For full-time students with over 60 credits: $10,530* per year

To qualify, you must (1) apply for admission to Northwest University, (2) complete Request(s) for Transcripts in a timely way from all previous institutions you have attended, (3) complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), (4) declare all outside funding sources including outside scholarships, Veterans’ and employer-sponsored benefits and (5) accurately note such benefits to which you may be entitled on the completed Northwest University Financial Aid Application by the date indicated below. You need not qualify for the maximum federal loan amounts in order to qualify for the Bridge the Gap program. All outside grants, benefits and federal programs will be calculated against Northwest University tuition to determine the residual tuition balance covered by the Bridge the Gap scholarship. Federal programs may include Pell Grants, Washington State Need Grants, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants, Stafford Loans and Veterans’ Benefits (paid directly to NU or the student). Other outside sources may include organizational-sponsored scholarships and employer reimbursement and/or tuition remission programs. This offer is subject to change without notice at the sole discretion of Northwest University. Student sources of outside funding may result in necessary reduction or negation of the Bridge the Gap scholarship during the relevant academic year.
