Graduate Ministry Programs

Master of Arts in Missional Leadership

The purpose of the Master of Arts in Missional Leadership (MAML) is to provide you with a curriculum that develops a theoretical framework for understanding leadership, mission and culture, globalization, ethics, motivation, creativity, vision, strategic planning, teamwork, spirituality, and other leadership issues.

This program will emphasize the need for missional leaders to live out the gospel so that it is seen and experienced in community.

The coursework will be followed by a culminating project during which you will conduct research or perform an organizational intervention that incorporates the course content from the program.

Overall objective: The overall objective of the M.A. in Missional Leadership program is to develop a theological and theoretical framework for leadership, mission, and culture that is both academically rigorous and praxis-oriented, and facilitates the growth and development of missional leadership for the twenty-first century church.

Program Structure

The entire 36 credit program is delivered by way of a hybrid format (on-campus and online) and is designed to be completed in 24 months. Purposefully structured to interface with one’s ministry context, it is intended for those who have busy schedules and may be involved in full-time ministry.

Students are organized into cohort groups which meet together for courses both on-campus as well as online. Traditional on-campus courses are delivered through four-day intensives, and typically meet 8a.m. – 5p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, once every few months. The online courses are designed to meet at a time and date to be determined by the respective professor of record. The course sequence and below schedule does not included pre and post course reading and/or assignments. In order to complete the program in the allotted time the courses meet year round.
