Fall Orientation Welcomes New Students to Kirkland Campus

Fall Orientation Welcomes New Students to Kirkland Campus

Last week, Northwest University welcomed the Freshmen Class of 2017 as well as new transfer students onto its beautiful fifty-six acre campus.

The weather was in the upper 70’s and the sunshine beamed all over campus on Wednesday, when current NU students, faculty, and staff met each new student’s car and quickly moved belongings into the dorms. Led predominately by NU Student Government and Student Development, the week included dozens of planned activities, all designed to help students feel welcome on campus and become familiar with Northwest. Some of these activities included a barbecue for new students and their families, an encouraging welcome message from President Castleberry, the Eagle Games, an outdoor movie, a 2017 class photo, an afternoon of service in the city of Kirkland, and a night of community worship. A candlelit march on Sunday, August 25th concluded orientation, just in time for classes to begin on Monday, August 26th.

Welcome to Northwest University, Class of 2017!
