Lighthouse is a club at Northwest University that hits the streets of downtown Seattle every Friday night to love on the homeless population! This is one of the many clubs/LifeGroups you can get involved with (and earn chapel credit for!)!

The first few days back at NU after break are always a bit awkward for me. It is in these days where I spend a lot of time reflecting and asking God where He is in my moments and what He wants me to learn. Always, He reminds me of the need for community.

Happy New Year!!
Reflecting back on 2012 I am so glad that I lived such a quick year full of love, laughter, tears, learning, ups, downs, and everything else! With 2013 coming up in a couple of days, I look forward to the next year with excitement and a resolution I intend to keep!

Selah is a word that many are familiar with, seeing it 71 times in Psalms. It is a difficult word to translate into English that can mean "to praise" or "to pause", but it is mostly used in psalms to stand for musical pause. With my last final complete, and the holiday season upon us, I reflect on what "selah" means to me.

Hey everyone! I'm Serena Robles, a transfer student hailing from San Diego, and I'm a Psychology major! This is my second year at Northwest University, and the more time I spend here, the more I fall in love with the Kirkland/Seattle area. I am forever thankful that God called me out of San Diego (no matter how much I miss it) and called me 1,000 miles from home to walk in complete faith and trust in Him.
