Hey Everyone, my name is Arlan, and I'm a Marketing major with a minor in Business Administration here at NU. Through my time at Northwest, I lived in the dorms for 3 years on the 400 dorm floor. That would be the home of the Hornets. My experience of dorm life was definitely filled with great memories and some stresses that I can’t wait to share with all of you.
Here at NU, I have been involved in a variety of areas. I have been a part of the Student Activities Board that planned events during the school year for the student body such as our annual talent show, Gotcha (our campus wide water gun fight), Screaming Eagles Week (our spirit week), and other events. I have also helped out in leading life groups on campus. That was truly a highlight for me! I was able to lead a life group on my dorm floor and we called it Hornet to Hornet. I was able to get to know the men on my floor on more than just a superficial level. At this life group we prayed for one another, encouraged each other and shared devotions.
Those are just two quick things that have greatly shaped my experience at NU. My hope is that these blogs will help you get a taste of what being an NU Eagle is all about. If you have any questions feel free to ask away!
