The new semester starts tomorrow and all I can say is that I am truly excited. I am eager to see all my friends again and even ready for school to start. I think right now I am excited for the semester to start because it is my final semester. Graduation is 4 months away. All through Christmas Break I was asked the question that many college seniors dread, “What are your plans after graduation?” Friends, people from church, even my parents and brothers asked me what I had planned. And my answer has somewhat remained consistent: I DON’T KNOW BUT I’M EXCITED. That may be somewhat of a shock to some parents but I can assure you I do not plan on sitting on my couch waiting for a job opportunity to come my way.
To ease your worries, I will say that the day after graduation I will be headed to Vietnam with the School of Business for a little over a week. There, I will be visiting different organizations and businesses and see how they function and how they compare to those in the United States. So as of now, I have the week after graduation planned. I am excited for what’s to come because I believe that Northwest University has allowed me to network with great professors, leaders, students, and past students. Now, my “homework” is to tap into this network to see if there are openings that they may know of. So far that has been working well. I have been in contact with several people and I have already seen possibilities of where I could be after graduation.
All in all, I believe that I am ready for what’s to come in these last four months of my undergrad and I am eager to see where God leads me. I can see the finish line but I have promised myself that within these last four months, I will live in the NOW. I will enjoy every second of the time I have here at NU. This year, 2013, is truly going to be a year to remember.
