Pursuit is a gathering of college students from around the Seattle area on Monday night here at the chapel, coming together to pursue God through worship. Usually the Pursuit team will bring in worship bands from local churches to help lead us into the presence of God.
Speaking of the team, Pursuit is led by the great duo Jon and Emilee who have dreamed up a vision to see their fellow students seeking after God. You might be thinking isn't this just like Chapel? Well it's way different than that because the focus is more on personal time students get to connect with God. An hour dedicated to worship is the general schedule for most Monday nights, but sometimes well-known guest speakers come and encourage students with inspirational messages.
Pursuit Conference is one of the highlights of the first semester here at NU. Every October the Pursuit team takes over chapel for 3 days (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) and invites engaging speakers and talented worship bands. The purpose of Pursuit Conference is to unite the whole campus as one to worship together. It is truly a great time of worship and fellowship and a perfect way to start the academic year focused on Christ. Pursuit is definitely one of the "can’t miss" events we have here at Northwest University, so if you are in town visiting the campus and happen to be here on a Monday then stick around for a special night of worship and praise with a couple hundred new friends.
