Screaming Eagles Week- Intramurals

My favorite part of the year has arrived. Basketball Intramurals!

Obviously as a member of the women's basketball team here at Northwest University, basketball is a top hobby of mine. Now the end of the season is nearing and intramurals are on their way, which means basketball never stops. To say the least, it is the best part of the school year!

First semester there is intramural football and second semester is basketball. Each dorm floor, guys and girls, compete against each other, including the FIRS, off campus students, and apartments (FOA). Intramurals is also tied into screaming eagles week, which begins today!

Last year my floor 300 was the intramurals basketball champions!

I especially love it when the games turn into a dunking competition.

This will be a fun community-oriented week.

I will try to get pictures up of the events as much as I can! The whole point of screaming eagles week is to build community on campus and to help people have a more fun-filled time at NU. There is a lot of time to bond with your floor, brother and sister as well as with those on other floors through competition.

Tonight is the dodgeball competition.
Tuesday:Floor decorating competition (each floor is decorated according to theme, FOA theme is Harry Potter) + Intramural basketball
Wednesday: Treevivor revived (one tribute is selected to sit in a tree with no food or water or bathroom breaks for as long as possible. Aiming for 24 hours.)
Thursday:Film Festival (creative floor films are made and shared at night in the chapel) + Intramural basketball
Friday: Eagle Olympics (floor entrance/dance competition and various competitive games. In addition, the winner is announced!)

Let the games begin!
