An Internship @ Benaroya Hall

Johanna Burch, a junior business major with a music minor, got a taste of her dream job recently as the Marketing and Public Relations Intern at Benaroya Hall, the home of the Seattle Symphony. “This internship allowed me to envision a successful career in which both my interests – business and music – could be merged,” she notes. Johanna wrote press releases, prepared press kits, worked with guest artists’ managers, and helped at concerts (with the added benefit that she got to attend concerts for free).

“Working in a large organization in a city such as Seattle really opened my eyes to the opportunities out there!” she says. “It’s just another advantage of being a student at Northwest.”
