Why ICD?

I chose the ICD program because I wasn'’t quite sure what I wanted to study or what I wanted to do with my degree. And so I really liked the overview that the program offered.

Experience at Northwest

I really liked being a part of a cohort. I can't imagine doing the program without it, getting to go through the whole program with the same group of students who were constantly inspiring and encouraging me.

My thesis focused on why employers should hire refugees, which was directly related to my practicum and actually the work that I’'m doing now, working in the employment program. So I was able to really look at different aspects of employment, interview employers, and create a case for why employers should hire refugees.

After Graduation

I highly recommend the ICD program. It'’s a great chance to explore a number of different things relating to working cross culturally, to working with non-profits, to serving God.
