After going to visit the school and talking with some previous students I knew that the ICCD program was for me.

Watch the VideoI really liked being a part of a cohort. I can't imagine doing the program without it, getting to go through the whole program with the same group of students who were constantly inspiring and encouraging me.
Watch the VideoFor my practicum I worked in the employment program at World Relief, which is a local refugee resettlement agency, so I learned how refugees get jobs when they come to America.
Watch the VideoMy thesis focused on why employers should hire refugees, which was directly related to my practicum and actually the work that I'm doing now, working in the employment program. So I was able to really look at different aspects of employment, interview employers, and create a case for why employers should hire refugees.
Watch the VideoI have continued to work at World Relief, I did an internship, and then did my practicum here and was able to start working half way through the program and it's been a great transition from the program.
Watch the VideoI highly recommend the ICCD program. It's a great chance to explore a number of different things relating to working cross culturally, to working with non-profits, to serving God.
