I chose Northwest because I like the Christian ideals and I also like the cross-cultural experiences that they offer.
Watch the VideoWhat I liked about Northwest was that everyone, from the Dean to the secretary, were supportive and rooting for you along the way. I was also a transfer student and so this was my second career and for getting into a program it was an easy transition, so it seemed like it fit best.
Watch the VideoFor my experience I went to Calcutta, India. And we worked in the hospital that Mark and Huldah Buntain founded, which our nursing program is named after them. So it was a neat experience to work in their hospital.
Watch the VideoWell working in the ICU there and also working in an ICU here in America, it's been an eye opener to be thankful for what we have. But also to understand that every culture has different processes and how they do it isn't necessarily bad, but it still works.
Watch the VideoNursing programs in general are difficult. And having the Christian support and having the Christian ideals that help you along the way really make the whole process of going through nursing school a lot easier.
