Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during my visit?

Thursday Night: Check in at 4:30 PM

  • Meet and have dinner with your student host
  • Attend our Annual NU Talent Show
  • Evening activities in the Residence Halls

Friday: Check in at 8:40 AM

  • Admissions Presentation
  • Attend Chapel
  • Campus Tours
  • Lunch in the Cafeteria
  • Class Visits
  • Meet your future professors!

How much does this event cost?

It is completely FREE!

Do I need to bring money for food?

All meals are courtesy of Northwest University, even for Friday guests.

Can I just come for Friday?

Yes of course! Either indicate on your registration you will not be spending the night or email us at visit@northwestu.edu.

I will be arriving late what should I do?

We ask all prospective students to arrive at the designated time. If you are unable to do so please email visit@northwestu.edu and we will work with you on an appropriate arrival time. Please note that we will need to coordinate with your student host so please notify us as soon as possible of any arrival changes.

Can I bring a guest?

Of course! However we ask that all guests join you for Friday only.

Can I stay with someone I know?

No problem, please indicate your preferred student host on your registration and we will do our best to accommodate.

I am coming from out of town/state, can someone pick me up from the airport?

While we do our best to accommodate the needs of our students, we are subject to the availability of our staff. Please send all transportation inquiries to visit@northwestu.edu.

My parents/guardians are coming with me, can NU provide accommodations for them?

Unfortunately we are unable to provide housing accommodations for guests at this time. However we do have list of local hotel accommodations.

Can I stay for multiple nights?

Unfortunately we are only able to accommodate students on the night of the 7th. Please see our list of local hotel accommodations.

I have a friend also coming that I would like to stay with, what should I do?

Please email visit@northwestu.edu and we will do our best to pair you in the same room.

My plans have changed and I can only come for Friday, what should I do?

Please let us know as soon as possible if your plans have changed so we can notify your assigned host. Just email visit@northwestu.edu.
