Local Missions

Local Missions

The heart of local missions at Northwest University is to see our community grow in their spiritual formation through mission and to extend that inward change to our local community. Local missions help our community focus on justice, generosity, service, and compassion. Local missions are led by NU Students and have varied over the years. Some local missions have included: ministry to people whom are homeless, ministry to at risk youth, random acts of kindness, ministry to the elderly, and fighting human trafficking.

Over the past few years, Northwest students have given over $200,000 to the fight against human trafficking. While there is a campus-wide emphasis for the abolition of human trafficking, there are many opportunities for students to engage with local organizations and partner with various ministries within the greater Seattle area.
