Subject Endorsements

Congratulations on being a teacher interested in professional growth through adding an endorsement! We offer three endorsements for certificated teachers. The programs are available online. While endorsement programs are not eligible for financial aid, there are a number of grants and scholarships available.

Principal Certificate

Practicing educators learn theories and strategies to lead public and independent schools that are instructionally strong, collaborative, and learner-focused. Upon completion, candidates will qualify for their Washington State Residency Principal Certificate.

English Language Learner

Equips you with research-based strategies for working more effectively with English language learners. We use theories of literacy and second language acquisition to hone your teaching skills, formative assessment, and content knowledge surrounding English language learners. Upon successful completion of coursework and documented application of skills, you will be recommended to Washington State for an added endorsement in K-12 ELL.

Special Education

These classes equip you to teach effectively all learners with differentiated instructional strategies, appropriate classroom assessments, and research-based practices surrounding IEPs and learning teams. Upon successful completion of coursework and documented application of skills, you will be recommended to Washington State for an added endorsement in K-12 Special Education.
