Background
Brooke Lundquist graduated with her BA in English from Seattle Pacific University in 2003 and during her undergraduate work, she spent a quarter studying abroad in Angers, France. Brooke obtained her MA in Counseling Psychology (MACP) from Northwest University in 2007. After graduating with her MA degree, Brooke began working for the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (CSBS) at Northwest University as the Internship Coordinator for the MACP program and then moved into the Director of MA Programs in the CSBS shortly thereafter. In addition to that role, Brooke served in the CSBS for several years as the Director of Academic Programs, overseeing the staff of the CSBS, managing the departmental budget, and helping with the administration of all CSBS programs at the undergraduate and graduate level. Brooke became faculty at NU in the fall of 2014 and she held the role of Program Chair of the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program (both on-ground and online) for several years before transitioning in 2020 to the role of Clinical Director for the on-ground program. She graduated with her Ph.D. in Counseling from Oregon State University, where her doctoral work focused on counselor education and supervision. Her dissertation research will be published in Counselor Education and Supervision journal in December 2020.
In addition to her role at Northwest University, Brooke also actively counsels clients at InLife Clinic in Redmond where she specializes in working with first responders and couples.
Brooke’s husband Ryan is a Deputy Chief for Snohomish County Fire District 7. He is a graduate of Northwest University’s MBA program and they have two daughters. As a family they love to spend time outdoors (swimming and hiking) and can often be found baking together. Brooke and Ryan are also active in Crossfit and they enjoy travelling when time allows.
