Financial Aid

Adult/Evening Financial Aid

The College of Adult & Professional Studies at Northwest University understands that for a working adult who goes back to school, finances can be tough to manage. Our financial aid program works to help pay for the cost of your education so that funding your education is not a roadblock to your dreams. Let us know how we can help make your dream possible.

Types of Financial Aid for Adult/Evening Learners

Financial aid can help make college more affordable. Northwest University has established a financial aid program designed to limit the high costs often associated with college tuition for our students.

Students who show a direct need for assistance can qualify for grants, such as the Federal Pell Grant, to help support their academic pursuits. Grants do not have to be paid back to the issuer.

Military Benefits

Active-duty service members and veterans are eligible for a variety of education benefits based on their length of service and branch, which can be applied toward a college education. Most military benefits do not have to be repaid. Contact your local VA office to determine your benefit eligibility.

Federal Loans

Federal financial assistance provides an accessible way to afford your college tuition through low-interest loans; however, they must be paid back after you graduate. Federal Direct Loans are the most common type of federal loans available to students.

Students can earn scholarships offered by civic organizations, religious organizations, and trade associations to help afford college. Some of these outside scholarships may be found at or similar sites.

Apply for Financial Aid

To apply for financial aid, all students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form to be eligible for many types of financial aid. Northwest University's school code is 003783.
