Join the Story

Each one of our students has a story.
Their Christ-centered education is an important chapter in their lives—and generous donors have a unique opportunity to be a part of that story. Every story is different, but the impact is the same. Our students go on to become Christian leaders in every area of our communities: pastors, teachers, counselors, business professionals, healthcare workers, and more. Most of them depend on grants and scholarships to start or complete their degrees. With your help, we can continue sending out students who want to impact the world for Christ.

“I initially heard about NU through a friend and the Act Six Scholars program. I originally intended to go to a different college but found that NU was a smaller college with more leadership opportunities for me. I’m here now, and I love it. I have many ambitious goals once I graduate. After graduation, I am going to be an author and public speaker. I have a speech impediment, and God wants to use me to inspire other people. Without scholarships, it would not be possible for me to be here. It’s all by the grace of God that I am still here, and scholarships have played a big role. Thank you, thank you, and many thank you’s for helping to support students to stay in college. God bless you; we love you here at NU.”
—Blessing Gasela Mhlanga, Sophomore

“My mom played basketball for NU, so it had always been on my list for potential colleges, but when I came for my college visit, there was something different about the campus and faculty than anywhere else I had visited. It felt like home. After graduation, my goal is to become either a music therapist or a counselor. I would love the opportunity to hear people’s stories and help them through their struggles. Scholarships have allowed me to graduate with my bachelors and master’s degrees sooner than I originally thought possible. It’s been such a blessing in my life to know that so many people are willing to invest in the lives of students.”
—Ethan Wall, Sophomore

“I chose to enroll at NU after visiting the university. Walking on campus, I felt a sense of peace I hadn’t felt on any other campus I had visited. I knew there was something different about Northwest. After I graduate, I hope to become a counselor for missionary kids. I grew up overseas and feel called to help kids dealing with some of the same things I dealt with early in life. It’s hard to begin to express just how much of a blessing that scholarships have been in my life. I am so thankful to those who give to NU for the amazing opportunity you have given me. I am able to pursue my dreams thanks to their generosity.”
