Northwest University seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor in Business (tenure track) to begin August 2020. A Ph.D. (or D.B.A.) in accounting, finance, economics or other business field. Highly qualified candidates with an MBA or Master of Accounting and professional experience will be considered.
Teach undergraduate and some MBA business courses in accounting, finance or other business fields. Work with the Dean and Business School faculty on curriculum development and assessment. Mentor students. Participate in the governance functions of the University as assigned.
- Holds a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in accounting, finance, economics or related business field. MBA or Masters in Accounting with accounting experience will be considered.
- Professional work experience, preferably in accounting.
- Undergraduate teaching experience with documentation of success in teaching, advising and mentoring relationships. Candidates with experience mentoring diverse students, including those from underrepresented backgrounds, preferred.
- Participates in scholarly and/or professional activities.
- Possesses a demonstrated, vibrant Christian faith compatible with the mission of Northwest University.
- Shows willingness and ability to apply the Christian worldview in course design, instruction, and advising.
- Models best instructional practices in the classroom setting.
- Committed to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff, and the general constituency of the University.
Dependent on education and experience; and based on the established salary schedule.
