Position Summary
Assist the head coach in all operations of the women’s soccer program. Specifically train goalkeepers in all aspects of the game.
Essential Functions
- Assists head coach with organizing practice and game training. Manage training for goalkeepers
- Assists in recruitment of quality student/athletes
- Assists head coach with game preparation and strategy
- Organizes and monitors off-season workouts
- Assists head coach with spiritual formation
- Knowledge of and adherence to NAIA rules and regulations
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Skills
- Experience in playing and/or coaching goal keepers
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Strong interpersonal and written and verbal skills
- Current First Aid, CPR, and Bloodborne Pathogen Training, with acceptable verification thereof
- Demonstrate commitment to maintaining a safe work environment free of harassment, violence, and unlawful discrimination.
- Ability to communicate effectively, get along well with co-workers, and deal effectively and professionally with colleagues.
Working Environment
- Some weekend/evening work required.
- Travel, including overnight travel, may be required.
- Position works with strictly confidential information.
- Requires work in outdoor weather conditions, including wet, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
- Work requires occasional exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
- May be exposed to loud noise levels.
Physical Demands
The functions are usually performed while standing, but may involve some amount of time sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting (max. of 40 lbs.), walking, carrying, reaching, stretching, climbing, perform repetitive motions of the hands or wrists and other movements. The abilities of seeing, hearing and speaking are also required.
Compensation
Based on education and experience, the position has a hiring range of $1000 to $5000 per season.
