Position Summary

Basketball game announcer for all home games. Will announce basketball player lineup, play music throughout the game, and get the fans invloved. Part-time position. 5 hours estimated per week.

Essential Functions

  1. Announcing lineups
  2. Playing music throughout the game
  3. Highlighting plays
  4. Making announcements
  5. Getting the fans involved

Education/Experience/Skills

  1. Have an understanding for the game of basketball.
  2. Comfortable using a mic and talking in front of a crowd.

Working Environment:

All work will be performed in the basketball gym.

Physical Demands:

The functions are usually performed while standing, but may involve some amount of time sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting (max. of 40 lbs.), walking, carrying, reaching, stretching, climbing, perform repetitive motions of the hands or wrists and other movements.  The abilities of seeing, hearing and speaking are also required.
