Position Summary

Responsible for quality control standards in all Registrar’s Office functions and services; assist the Registrar in the management of the Registrar’s Office workflows; serve as backup for the Registrar. This is a full-time 1.0 FTE position.

Essential Functions

  1. Coordinate office operations and daily functions of the Registrar’s Office. Maintain standards and best practices for:
    • Database and student academic record integrity
    • Registration, graduation, grades, release of records, records retention, and other related activities
    • FERPA notifications
    • Production of reports, surveys, and requests for information
    • Assist the Registrar with office budget reconciliation
  2. Manages student final degree audit process, related commencement preparations, and diploma creation and delivery 
  3. Veterans Affairs Coordinator 
  4. Direct supervision of student workers
  5. Assist the Registrar with financial accounting and budget
  6. Perform other work related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills

  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college required.
  2. Experience performing organizational and process support, preferably in a higher education setting.
  3. Demonstrated strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Demonstrated extensive spreadsheet, word processing, and database computer skills.
  5. Ability to organize, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and use standard office tools including Microsoft Office.
  6. Proven ability to communicate effectively, get along well with co-workers, and deal effectively and professionally with colleagues.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment free of harassment, violence, and unlawful discrimination.
  8. Excellent attention to detail.

Working Environment:

  1. Work is generally performed indoors in a typical office setting. 
  2. Position works with strictly confidential information.
  3. Frequently required to be in front of a computer screen for long periods of time.
  4. Some weekend/evening work required. 
  5. Travel, including overnight travel, may be required.  
  6. Work may require occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and bloodborne pathogens.
  7. Risk of fire or explosion and electric shock.
  8. May be exposed to loud noise levels.

Physical Demands:

The functions are usually performed while sitting, but may involve some amount of time standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting (max. of 40 lbs.), walking, carrying, reaching, stretching, climbing, perform repetitive motions of the hands or wrists and other movements. The abilities of seeing, hearing and speaking are also required.
