Accounting Office Assistant

Essential Functions
- Provide assistance with Accounting office duties.
- Perform office duties such as copying, scanning, mailing, date stamping, filing and shredding.
- Provide backup for Cashier by handling phone calls, receiving payments by phone and in-person.
- Prepare monthly journal entries.
- Prepare monthly assigned account reconciliations and make correcting entries.
- Assist in special projects.
- Perform other work and related duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Skills
- Must be detail oriented: thorough and accurate.
- Ability to handle repetitious and sometimes tedious tasks.
- Must have computer experience: MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Must have good customer service skills.
- Must be dependable, reliable, and a self-starter.
- Ability to work with highly confidential information.
- Office experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
The functions are usually performed while sitting, but may involve some amount of time standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting (max. of 40 lbs.), walking, carrying, reaching, stretching, perform repetitive motions of the hands or wrists and other movements. The abilities of seeing, hearing, and speaking are also required.
