Position Summary
The SFS Student Assistant will assist the Assistant Director and Operations Coordinator in all necessary aspects of Financial Aid.

Essential Functions
- Review forms for accuracy and completion
- Contacting students for incomplete and missing documents
- Following-up with enrollees about adjustments to aid due to verification, or document review
- Send emails and call students in regards to their financial aid
- Creation of student files, and filing of all required documents in standard office formatting
- Performs other work related duties as assigned
Education/Experience/Skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality of information
- Excellent attention to detail and demonstrate organizational skills
- Strong math and computer skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook); Willingness and ability to learn other software programs as required by the position
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Able to work as a team player, as well as work independently
- Quick learner
Working Environment
- Work is generally performed indoors in a typical office setting.
- Position works with strictly confidential information.
- Frequently required to be in front of a computer screen for long periods of time.
Physical Demands
The functions are usually performed while sitting at a desk, may involve some amount of time standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting (max. of 40 lbs.), walking, carrying, reaching, stretching, repetitive motions of the hands or wrists and other movements. The abilities of seeing, hearing and speaking are also required.
