August 25-28, 2022
We are excited for your arrival at Northwest University! Whether you are a first year freshmen or transfer student, our four days of Welcome Weekend are all about welcoming you and preparing you for success. All incoming students (freshman and transfer) are required to attend this four-day event.
Hello New Eagles,
We are so excited to welcome you home! Can you believe you are going to be an NU student? We can and we are so thankful the Lord has allowed you to choose Northwest University for your college journey.
Whether you are a first-time freshmen or a transfer student, you plan to live at home or will be living on campus, Welcome Weekend is for YOU! These four days are created to help in your transition to Northwest — we know that everyone is coming with different backgrounds, experiences, expectations and life stages and we want to help create as smooth of a transition for you that we can. The goal of this program is to introduce you to key faculty and staff, provide you with important university resources, and give you ample opportunity and time to mingle with new and returning students. Our hope is that this will simply be the beginning of your journey to finding where you belong at Northwest University.
We have been preparing for this weekend for months and are ready to have you here soon! If you have any questions prior to your arrival, please don’t hesitate to reach out by calling 425-889-5234.
We looked forward to August 25, 2022! Again, welcome home!
Family and Guest Information
As we prepare for Fall 2022 Welcome Weekend, we are excited to welcome back the families and guests of our incoming Eagles! The past couple years have been tough with capacity restrictions, but we are happy to welcome all to our first day of Welcome Weekend on August 25th.
Make sure to view our current Family and Guest Schedule for an up-to-date schedule for the weekend. Additionally, all guests are required to register in advance. A link will be available here and in your emails in July to register guests and purchase meal tickets.
Hear from Students
I am glad I was a part of Welcome Weekend because it allowed me to connect with the NU community and feel more comfortable in my new home here.
–Hanna Stephens, Sophomore (Incoming Class of 2021)
My favorite part of Welcome Weekend was being able to explore downtown Kirkland. As someone who came from a small rural town it was great to experience all the fun things that students can do downtown.
–Jazzell Tovar, Junior (Incoming Class of 2021)
I think it’s really important to embrace the uncomfortable. Try new things and meet new people. You can grow so much when you are outside of your comfort zone!
