Short Bio:
I grew up in Lake Stevens, Washington, what used to be a small town in Snohomish County and is now a new bustling city. I was raised as a homeschooler until high school, then took on the public school system for two years, returning to homeschooling my last two years. After that, I attended Northwest University, where I graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, studying Psychology and Pastoral Care.
Favorite Aspect at NU:
Hands down my favorite aspect of NU has been the community, especially the friends I've made who all value deep intentional thought but also make time for late night Taco Bell runs.
On My Bookshelf:
Being at NU has helped me gain a love for reading, and I'm excited to go through a few books that have been collecting dust as I finished my undergrad. My #1 is The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer, I've read it over three times while at NU. Last summer I read through The Return of the Gods by Jonathan Cahn, and this summer I am hoping to get into the true crime fiction starting with One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus.
Favorite Food:
Steak or anything Italian.
Favorite Place in Seattle:
The UW Husky Stadium. I love getting a chance to watch college football with friends and family. I will faithfully put my Talons Up for the Eagle's, but I'm also a diehard Huskies fan, Go Dawgs!
Favorite Coffee/Non-Coffee Order:
In the cold seasons, or if I'm craving a hot beverage, my favorite coffee drink is a caramel macchiato. When there's warmer weather, my all-time favorite is a white lotus with strawberry, orange, and grapefruit.
Favorite Holiday:
I love the 4th of July! It's such a fun way to celebrate in the summer, have a good barbeque, and I love a good firework show.
Favorite Sport:
Football is my favorite, and when it's between seasons, I can watch Formula 1.
What you might not know about me:
I have an identical twin sister, so sometimes I speak in a collective sense, saying "we" instead of "I" or "me." Her and I can't read each other's minds, but don't be surprised when we finish each other's sentences.
