A New Chapter in Affordability: Our First‑Ever Tuition Reduction
For 90 years, Northwest University has worked to keep tuition costs affordable. And like most universities around the nation, increasing tuition by about 3% is typically needed to offset costs. This year we considered a rare hold on our campus undergraduate tuition rate, which has happened several times in our history.
In consideration of the cost to families, we decided to go further than a hold. We're doing something we've never done before: NU is reducing campus undergraduate tuition by 1.5% for 2026–27.
We're lowering it. Over the past few years, we have worked hard to reduce costs and improve efficiencies while protecting what matters most: the quality of the student experience and the Christ-centered mission at the heart of Northwest. We’re thankful that this work is translating into a real benefit for students and families.
We are committed to doing what we can to maintain affordability and grow the value of an NU experience. We hope to see more students pursuing their purpose, more families saying yes to NU, and more graduates ready to make an impact for the kingdom.
