Details on Our Website Update
Welcome to the new and improved official Northwest University website. As an institution, we are always looking for ways to better serve the NU community, and one of the most prominent ways we demonstrate that commitment is by pushing this site to be as excellent and innovative as possible. With this particular round of changes, we had four goals in mind:
- Accessibility – We are currently in the process of combing through our website for areas that can be made more accessible for everyone. Accessibility supports social inclusion for people with disabilities as well as others, such as older people, people in rural areas, and people in developing countries with slow internet connection speeds.
- Admission Performance – One of the primary functions of this website is to provide incoming students and their parents with all the information they need to make an informed decision about NU. The more informative and approachable these pages are, the better we serve our audiences. The new website optimizes our information and forms to give users a more intuitive experience.
- Search Engine Optimization – All of the content and meta data on our site is being formulated to work seamlessly with search engines like Google and Bing in the hopes of making it easier for the right people to find the right information they are searching for.
- Design – The Marketing team has been hard at work defining and expanding the NU brand. Over the last 4 years, these expansions have included new design elements and color schemes that we’re excited to include with our latest site update.
